Greg Strikes Gold at OFSAA

Englehart High School's Greg Palangio captured the gold medal in the Novice Boy’s Discus event at the OFSAA championships this past weekend. Competing against top student-athletes in Niagara Falls, the grade 9 standout secured the provincial title with a phenomenal performance.

Alexandra Gauthier Wins Prestigious National Leadership Award

Iroquois Falls Secondary School student Alexandra Gauthier has been named one of only 20 students nationwide to receive the prestigious 2026 TD Scholarship for Community Leadership. This national honor recognizes her exceptional dedication to amplifying student voices and tackling local challenges during her tenure as a DSB1 Student Trustee.

Timmins High Student Selected for Prestigious Shad Canada Program

Driven by a lifelong passion for math and science, Timmins High & Vocational School student Audrey has earned a prestigious full Indigenous scholarship to attend the Shad Canada program at Lakehead University this July. Following this university experience, she will travel to Alabama in August for her second year at the Advanced NASA Space Camp, taking major steps toward her future career in engineering.
