March Break

We are excited to wish our students, staff, and communities a relaxing and enjoyable March Break from March 16 to March 20, 2026.

We look forward to welcoming our DSB1 students back to school when classes resume on Monday, March 23, 2026.

JHK's Family Fishing Day

JHK’s Family Fishing Day brings together students, families, and the community for a land-based learning experience that celebrates local culture and traditions. By fostering collaboration between the school, families, and local organizations, the event strengthens relationships, supports student well-being, and deepens a sense of belonging.

Geologist Visits TCPS

A geologist from a local mine recently visited the Grade 4 students. The presentation helped students deepen their understanding of rocks and minerals while showing how science is applied beyond the classroom. It also introduced them to an exciting real-world career in science.

Trades Career Day Connects THVS Students with Local Industry Leaders

Timmins High & Vocational School hosted a Trades Career Day, connecting SHSM students and others interested in skilled trades with industry and post-secondary partners. Students learned about apprenticeships, OYAP, dual credits, and co-op opportunities through structured networking sessions.
