Flags at all DSB1 schools and locations have been lowered to honour the memory of the individuals lost in the recent tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, BC. We stand in solidarity with the community and offer our heartfelt support to everyone affected by this loss.
Jo-Lene Dawson is a member of the Timmins Quilt Guild and parent council. She also has a son in a high support classroom. The guild is now working to make individualized, sensory quilts with plans to deliver the first set to my classroom on April 2nd, World Autism Day.
