Child Care Centres

District School Board Ontario North East is pleased to partner with licensed Child Care operators in our three regions.  These operators provide several types of Child Care options in many of DSB1 schools.  The following table is a guide to the DSB1 schools and a summary of the programs which are offered as well as the provider information. Inquiry for fees can be made by contacting the providers directly.

Extended Day Programs for Full Day Kindergarten Students  

The Extended Day program is a Child Care program that operates under the framework of the Education Act (s.259).  The Extended Day program is optional to families and is provided by third party Child Care operators for a fee. 

Before and After School Child Care Programs for 6 – 12 Year Olds 

Before and After School Child Care programs are offered by licensed Child Care providers for a fee determined by them. 

The viability of Extended Day programs is determined through an annual parent survey.  You may access this survey by clicking on this link or by asking your child’s school for a paper copy and submit directly to the school.

There are a few schools that have full day Child Care centres, operated by licensed Child Care organizations housed within the building. Please refer to the above table.
