Joint Transportation Governance Committee
Role of the Joint Transportation Governance Committee
The Joint Transportation Governance Committee brings together the school boards members of the North East Tri-Board Student Transportation initiative, including Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario, District School Board Ontario North East, and Northeastern Catholic District School Board.
The Joint Transportation Governance Committee meets as required:
- To receive staffing information prior to Board approval
- To review and update Joint Transportation Policy as part of the North East Tri-Board Student Transportation Consortium
- To provide effective, efficient & economical bussing for all eligible students
- To review and report to the Board on Ministry policies & programs related to
transportation - To collaborate with coterminous Boards on matters and finalize busing contracts
